Our Founder & Business Owner: Helen Vane
Helen Vane has spent 17 years promoting community health awareness and holds a degree in Health Education. She remains committed to helping others feel their best. Helen’s personal experience with hair loss after multiple childbirths and medical procedures led her to discover Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP). After trying various treatments with no lasting results, she became an SMP client herself and saw immediate transformation. Inspired by her own journey, Helen trained with top SMP professionals and became an SMP renowned artist herself. Creating trending influence in the SMP industry, she built an SMP business in Maryland called America Scalp Micropigmentation, and created more awareness opportunities for new upcoming SMP artists. Now, she is dedicated to helping others regain confidence through natural, long-lasting hair restoration solutions.

Hixson Hairlines was founded on a deeply personal journey of transformation and empowerment. In 2017, Helen discovered Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) not as a practitioner, but as a client struggling with hair loss. After experiencing immediate, life-changing results, she realized the profound impact SMP could have—not just on appearance, but on self-esteem and confidence.
Driven by her own success, Helen became a passionate advocate for SMP as a non-surgical, long-lasting hair loss solution. She quickly found herself sharing her story with others facing similar struggles, offering guidance and encouragement to those seeking answers. This passion led her to train with some of the top SMP pioneers in the industry, refining her skills and deepening her expertise.
As Helen immersed herself in the world of SMP, she recognized a lack of female and Latina practitioners in the field. She saw an opportunity to bridge the gap, becoming one of the first SMP providers in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area who could personally relate to the unique challenges women face with hair loss. Her goal was clear—to create a space where everyone, regardless of gender or background, could feel understood and supported on their journey to hair restoration.
Since then, Helen has dedicated herself to providing exceptional SMP treatments, helping clients regain their confidence with natural, undetectable results.
